Our Hindu Student Council Mission:
To practice, promote and strive to learn about Hindu culture and ideals. By doing so, HSC will foster a community centered on the principles of Sanatana Dharma. Our mission is to awaken people to the vast wisdom inherent within our scriptural, cultural, and religious heritage.
HSC has a rich history and is the result of a merger between two older groups, Bhakti and SHRI. Bhakti hosted events ranging from pujas to discussions on various topics relating to Hinduism and hosted speakers from around the world. SHRI held pujas and kirtan every Saturday.
HSC will continue the traditions established by Bhakti and SHRI and will strive to hold programs that were held by both groups. We also hope to provide a more organized interface to the Cornell Hindu community for incoming students as well as alumni.
